I'm a Nurse.

‎"You're a nurse?? That's cool, I wanted to do that when I was a kid. What do you make?"

"WHAT DO I MAKE??"

I make holding your hand seem like the most important thing in the world when you're scared. I can make your child breathe when they stop. I can help your father survive a heart attack. I make myself get out of bed at 5am to make sure your mother has the medicine she needs to live. I work
...all day to save the lives of strangers. I make my family wait for dinner until I know your family member is taken care of. I make myself skip lunch so that I can make sure that everything I did for your husband today is charted. I make myself work weekends and holidays because people dont just get sick Monday through Friday.

Today, I might save your life. I make a difference, what do you make?

*I've had a lot of children quit breathing on me in PACU - the place people go after surgery -and It's the worst feeling in the world. Thankfully, it has always turned out well!

In other news

Greg has accepted an internship with Ernst and Young in Columbus Ohio!

There are 2 other BYU grads there! How fun is that for him!?

It's from Jan 6th- either March 9th or March 16th...the end date hasn't been

decided yet. I have to be back to work on the 12th, so I will leave the 10th or

11th regardless.

We were going to be home for Christmas, but my job has been amazing with

letting me go so we're going to stay so I can work until we leave.

I'm a little bummed about it, but at the same time...it's really hard to travel

during the Holidays. Last year it was really stressful trying to see everyone and

spend equal amounts of time.

YAY for Greg!

*I just finished The Color of Water and it was such a good book! Just another book idea if any of you are readers!
