5 years!

Greg and I celebrated our 5 years together on Saturday! We have some pretty awesome friends here in Utah and they watched Evan for 4 hours while we went to a dinner and a movie! I have a tendency to forget my camera when I really want to have it, so no pictures of our great date! We haven't been on a real date in a long time. So we wanted to have a real date like old times for our anniversary. We had such a good time. I love uninterrupted time with my husband. I always find myself missing my little one after a bit though...

My little Evan turns 18 months on Sunday! We go to his 18 month check up on Tuesday so I'll give ya all his stats then!

Victory!

I have finally figured out how to get my child to eat eggs!
PANCAKES!
Not just any pancakes my friends, egg and banana pancakes!

I found this on pinterest and all you do is add 2 eggs to one banana squish it all up and it throw it on the griddle like normal pancakes and you get this...
I put butter on them and syrup and Evan just thought he was eating banana pancakes!
I have longed for the day my child would eat eggs and he does! He just doesn't know it...

A little bit of Lately

My sweet child loves to help whenever he can
I look mad in this picture so Greg took another...

......Over exaggerated smile with giant eyes

After his assistance with the Lemon cookies we made daddy's cake for his 27th birthday! We are getting so old. Greg's cake came from a box this year, sorry Greg :o)

Thank goodness he likes his quiet book!

Evan likes to finish my sentences..

I am slightly obsessed with the way he says, "apple"

Every morning when Evan wakes up he says, "ROAR!" That means he wants to watch The Lion King. See for yourself.

A cluster of sorts

who knew a bucket of water and magazine pages would be so fun? There was water everywhere! Next time we're doing it in the bathtub

I love the faces he makes when he eats.

He loves spinach

I love how capable he is. He's a tiny man!

Evan painted. I cut a paper towel roll into thirds and then formed the ends of each into a fun shape (which wasn't real easy) and then Ev used it as a stamp...for about 10 seconds and then he used his fingers, but it was still fun!

Apparently, he'll eat anything as long as he can feed himself

He is his father's child. Every time we have burgers or something Greg can poke a hole in, he does. He waits until I bow my head to pray and pokes my buns! I always forget about it, but occasionally I beat him to it.

Thank you, Kohl's, for having such cute toddler hoodies!
Quinoa, eggs, peas, red and orange pepper, tomatoes, onion, and Worcestershire sauce. It was so good! Like Fried rice, but not!

Evan dropped a bomb in his diaper and Greg left the room for quick second and then came back and found Evan on the table typing poopoo into the search engine...hahaha

The little gem is a sweet potato burger with white beans mixed and some seasoning added. for recipe go here

I made Humus today. If you like Humus (or even if you don't) you'll love this! It was soooo super good and I can't wait for lunch tomorrow!
Here is the recipe. I just need to get a better food processor because mine didn't make it as smooth as I would like, but I still loved it. The red pepper flakes you see on top of it in this picture I didn't use and it was still delicious.

what do you think?

I am in the process of trying to find a comforter set (preferably and 8 piece) and I'm so indecisive! I have ideas of what I want certain rooms in my house and bedroom to look like. I want bright colors all over my house and right now I am hooked on yellow for our bedroom. I really think I want white with bright color accents.

I am in love with this room!
I plan on re-finishing my dresser, but I'm conflicted. I love the idea of having a yellow undertone on the dresser and then painting over it with white with the distressed look, but I also love White rooms with dark wood. Good thing I have a year to figure this GIANT(wink, wink) problem out, right?

kind of like this but instead of the brown, a bright yellow color and not so distressed,. I don't like it super distressed it just looks too old. My friend did it to her dresser and it was BEAUTIFUL!

I'm also in love with this. Dark walls, but tons of bright in the room.

I love this ^ comforter. Greg threatened to never sleep in the bed again if I got it!
I love the elegance of it! It's so beautiful!

The down side to this one...it's ivory. I want crisp white.

Not a huge fan of this one, but it's gender neutral...

I really like this one . I think it would be super cute with yellow pillows and maybe even a pretty blue/teal/green/lavender pillow with the yellow....

I shall decide soon!
