maybe my favorite

Evan took a 3 hour nap today so I got this quiet book page done and listened to conference at the same time!

Yes the boys head is floating but I don't care enough to fix it. The net is made from a bag that a set of Evan's onesies came in

my oyster opens and you find a pearl!

The fish snap off and the kids can "catch" the fish in the net
I think the crab and the oyster are my faves

Rollin out the quiet book pages

and yes my trapezoid is crooked and I'm not real sure if the parallelogram is actually parallel hopefully my kids won't bust out the measuring tape

the center of the mailbox is open and Evan is receiving mail if Grandma and Grandpa and other family want to send him a letter :o)

The flag moves all around

Another Quiet book page

check out that Y not too bad for someone with zero artistic skills

So I wanted the kids (yes I'm talking about my future babes as well as Evan) to be able to actually lace it through the holes not just tie it up...I didn't have enough felt to do what I had originally planned so I just made little squares and hammered the eyelets in and they are only sewed on the outside edge so the lace can come in and out.

Page 2 DONE! and some of Evan and our adventures

So here it is quiet book page 2..

The apples snap on and off and the kids can put the apples in the basket I made or shall i say, weaved. We haven't thought of a saying yet, but I am thinking about putting, "fill up the basket and give as Jesus gives." I sing Give Said The Little Stream to Evan all the time, so I figured it would be fun to take something away from that song. For the full lyrics go here Give said the Little stream It's super cute :o) You can click on the pictures to enlarge them to see them better if you want. I hand sewed all the leaves and the basket but the apples and trunk I used my machine. It took forever because I had to redo my apples and I didn't have much time the past couple weeks.

Evan tried Peas..

Evan fell over and Greg caught him with his foot and then Evan hung on to his toe for dear life

Evan is sitting up unsupported so well these days!

We went up Squaw Peak with some friends and had Tin foil dinners and Reese cup s'mores. we mainly took pics of Evan except for the one we took of Jared, who we are avidly trying to find a wife for!

Jared: Greg's other Accounting boyfriend

That's Rebekah in the background. She is married to Greg's real Accounting Boyfriend and they are having a baby Monday the 15th !

Greg was able to Baptize my grandpa yesterday and I was able to go watch thanks to my dear friends a hop, skip, and a jump away. My dad had asked us to do it a while ago and we finally did it! It was such a wonderful experience! It was pretty cool too because Greg had baptized several Men while we were there and I could feel in my heart when he baptized my grandpa and I asked him when he was done which baptism was my grandpa's and he told me and it was the one where I got the warm fuzzies from the spirit. Pretty cool.

quiet book page 1 is doneville!

I just finished one of the first pages! Thanks to very long surgeries at work I had time to sew!
I had a grand idea that backfired so I had to sew around the body of the lion about 5657678 times because I kept screwing it up, so the final product isn't perfect, but I'm real sick of taking out stitches and I'm pretty sure my sewing machine is tired. I did all the letters by hand with regular needle and thread because I'm not sure how to do that with my sewing machine. Someone at work said that embroidery thread is thicker and goes faster, so I will try that next time but really it only took a couple hours to do all the letters. and I decided I want to put all the activities on white fabric.
Here she is..

it says, "I won't complain if you braid my tail or feel my mane." Greg's job is to come up with the sayings and cut out my 12x12 squares :o)
