How to keep a toddler busy for hours and a recipe (one you must try)

I got a bowl and some poms from the dollar store (I let him pick between bold poms and pastel, he chose pastel and I liked them the best too) We brought them home and I cut a little hole in the lid and let him go to town by dumping them out and poking them through the hole. He loves it...it's great for sacrament too :)

Activity #2 Buy a $.99 basketball hoop that sticks on windows and doors. The goal was to shoot hoops with him, but apparently taking the suction pieces off, licking them, and sticking them to his belly is way more entertaining.

Activity #3 Water colors. No explanation needed here :o)

ANNNDDD... I made this crock pot recipe and my child ate TWO toddler size bowls of it. That has never ever happened in the history of Evan. You guys, he even ate the shredded chicken. He does NOT eat meat...I just can't get him to, but in this dish the child devoured it. Must try if you have wee ones! He also likes semi spicy food (I know very weird for a 2 year old) but he does and this is a little spicy. We had lots of leftovers too so we ate it for like 3 days and he never got sick of it, which is also extremely rare. Basically, we'll be making this once a week. So here it is..

Cream Cheese Chicken Chili
adapted from Tried and Tasty
(Printable Recipe)

1 can black beans
1 can corn, undrained
1 can Rotel, undrained
1 package ranch dressing mix
1 tsp cumin
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 8 oz package light cream cheese
2 chicken breasts

Drain and rinse black beans. Place chicken at bottom of pot, then pour out whole can of corn (undrained), rotel, and black beans. Top with seasonings and ranch mix. Stir together. Place cream cheese on top. Cover with lid and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir cream cheese into chili. Use 2 forks to shred chicken. Stir together and serve.
